Small banks gain ground on Big 5

The figures are an improvement from 11.3% of total assets in 2018 or P10.3 billion, which the central bank says, “reflects some market gains by small banks”.
The Big Five comprises First National Bank Botswana, Absa Botswana, Standard Chartered Bank Botswana and Banc ABC, while the small banks are Bank Gaborone, Bank of Baroda, First Capital Bank and Bank SBI Botswana.
