Sefalana pushes its weight in retail space

Botswana Stock Exchange(BSE) listed diversified company, Sefalana Holding Company Limited is planning a massive ramp up of its network of retail outlets in the next five years as it aims to become a household brand in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market.

In addition to the 13 Shoppers outlets currently operational in Botswana, Sefalana Group managing director, Chandra Chauhan, said the group is planning to set up at least five shops per year in the next five years.

Announcing the results for the year ended  April 30, 2012 in Gaborone yesterday,  Chauhan said Shoppers business has contributed 16. 5 percent growth to the consumer goods trading segment's turnover and 122 percent  to profit before tax.
