SA firm completes Bokamoso hospital takeover

One of the provisional trustees of Bokamoso hospital, Edward Maganu confirmed the takeover is now complete and that his job has now ended, with Lenmed now is in charge of the operations. The Lenmed management team is headed by 13 managers in the various divisions of pertains. The largest investor in Bokamoso, BPOMAS, however, referred the Business Monitor to the new CEO, Ruben Naidoo, who was reported to be busy at the time of going to press. The Business Monitor can reveal that following a successful settlement of the long dragging issue of Bokamoso creditors before the Registrar and Master in August this year, the takeover was allowed to go through on October 3.
However, BPOMAS retains the ownership of the hospital properties, the land and the buildings, through a company called Khella, while Lenmed takes over the operations of the hospital on a 60-40 basis, with BPOMAS yet again having 40 percent shareholding in the operations, according to impeccable sources. The 60-40 joint-venture was achieved through a company called Kallend, owned by both parties. The completion of the takeover ends the tenure of the Court-appointed trustees Edward Maganu and Marx Marinelli of Deloittee. Ruben Naidoo becomes the new Bokamoso hospital CEO taking over from the the founding CEO, Kabelo Ebineng.
