Nutribyte South Africa has re-entered the local market following the acquisition of a local veterinary company that now sells products from the neighbouring country across local stores.

The South African-based animal-health and pet-nutrition business recently acquired Biofarms in a deal that marks a significant step for the Botswana company, which identified Nutribyte as a natural fit with its mission to enhance animal health and wellbeing through science-based solutions. The re-entry is a culmination of a successful pilot launch at the height of the COVID-19 period, and Bio Farms, a key player in the local veterinary and pet care supply chain, has begun distributing Nutribyte pet nutrition products through Sefalana stores across the country. The varieties that are now available in local stores include Nutribyte Adult Maintenance 22%, Nutribyte Large Breed Puppy 26%, Nutribyte SB Adult Maintenance 22%, and Nutribyte Small Breed Puppy 28%.

Mosotswana Distributors has also introduced a range of dog treats, including 500-gram and 1-kilogram bags of biscuits, to meet the needs of local pet owners. Bio Farms’ Business Development Officer, Rozelle Taljaard, said Nutribyte’s success is rooted in science and quality. “Nutribyte stands out because it’s developed with veterinary input and manufactured in a world-class facility that meets international standards. “Every recipe is carefully balanced to give pets exactly what they need, nothing less, nothing more,” she explained. Taljaard added that the brand prioritises high-quality ingredients and scientifically backed formulations. “Our formulations include functional nutrients such as prebiotics, beta-glucans, and omega fatty acids for overall health. “It’s premium nutrition that remains accessible to pet owners,” she explained. Produced in an HACCP-approved, ISO-certified facility, Nutribyte prides itself on upholding strict quality control standards.
