MAUN: Businessman John Wellio has called on Ngamiland’s Foot and Mouth ravaged cattle farmers to diversify and stop relying on the problematic cattle farming.

Wellio who is one of the directors at Maun Lodge, implored farmers during the Ngamiland International Trade fair (NITAEX) to diversify  within the agricultural sector in the district. He said farmers can venture into other forms of agriculture like crop production, aquaculture, food processing as well as fisheries.

“I urge you to diversify the agricultural sector and not focus on one commodity,” he said.
