Feme Ntswabi, a senior manager at Ngami Toyota told Business Monitor during the recent launch of a new Corolla that the takeover has improved vehicle supplies and training of staff for repairs and maintenance. She stated that despite the changes, the management remains the same and nobody has lost his or her job.
Ntswabi said the takeover will improve operations at the company. Ngami Toyota was previously owned by Mark Muller and Brian Bridges before the South Africans took over. The Halfway Group has acquired a 100 percent stake in the business for an undisclosed sum. Ngami Toyota undertakes vehicle sales, Toyota parts sales and has a vehicle service centre.
