MIT, BDIH launch startup accelerator

A new partnership between Botswana Digital and Innovation Hub (BDIH) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Kuo Sharper Centre for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship kicked off this week with the launch of an 11‑week business incubation programme in Gaborone.

The programme aims to fast‑track 31 locally-owned small, micro, and medium enterprises (SMME).

Anchored by MIT’s Kuo Sharper Innovation Centre, the initiative began with a three‑day bootcamp at BDIH’s headquarters, signalling Botswana’s efforts towards a globally aligned entrepreneurship development programme.
