The country’s largest brewing company, Kgalagadi Breweries Limited has come out to explain the acute shortage of beer in Botswana especially, Black Label lager.

For the past few days, beer consumers have been facing the agony as some liquor outlets continue to experience shortage of one of the country’s favorite beer brands, the Black Label and Castle Lite 750ml, because of the ongoing maintenance at the local brewery.

In a statement from KBL’s Corporate Communications Manager Mokoro Ketsitlile last week, the company stated that the shortage of beer supply was as a result of a scheduled maintenance for machinery and plant.
