Donkey Carts win council tenders

The South East District Council has taken local economic empowerment to another level. The council has engaged contractors using donkey carts and small trucks to collect waste around villages.


South East District Council Chairperson, Joseph Sorinyane said during a full council session last week that the initiative was initially introduced in Otse and Mogobane villages, but has since been extended to some wards in Ramotswa as a way of continuing to empower locals.  “All these have already laid positive footprints in the district.
