Diseko on path to build interior design empire

Local entrepreneur, Same Diseko, has followed her passion for design which was cultivated at a young age. Diseko says she was forced into Design and Technology subject during school days, which later compelled her to pursue interior design as a career.

She shared her journey in the world of design with BusinessMonitor. “It all started in high school when I did Design and Technology which I aced, and then proceeded to the senior school, and passed as well,” Diseko said. “I later enrolled for Interior Architecture at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology where I graduated top of my class.” According to the designer, she then got employed at a local interior design company where she worked for 10 years before starting her own company.

Then in 2020, 808 Renic Interiors was born. The company offers interior design, landscaping, architectural services, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering. “We do space planning, conceptualise, do customised design and offer office interior,” she said. “We normally do site visits then do space planning, then 3D designs where they bring space to life before they conceptualise it, then we select material for the customer. If approved, we go into installation, furniture procurement and install.”
