Chinese companies in P20bn govt projects

Botswana-China relations are expected to be further cemented with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority (BEDIA) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) as the local private sector looks towards conducting business with advanced economies.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Gaborone on Monday, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BEDIA, Jacob Nkate said that China is a growth area for economies of the world since the Chinese market is a big one that cannot be ignored.

He further said that as the memorandum bears fruits, he hopes to see Botswana companies selling their products to China and China investing in Botswana.
