This reverses the huge successive losses of P324 million in 2012 and P87.82 million in 2011.
BMC chief accountant, Mbaakanyi Lenyatso, told BusinessWeek that the profits took a quantum leap because the commission recorded higher sales in the year after they were signed back into the European Union market.
The situation is exacerbated by the ruling party’s admission that some of its most important election promises remain unfulfilled. This is not the change many Batswana had expected. The UDC was elected into power on a strong promise to improve lives, create jobs, protect workers and repair public services.
