Barclays Bank of Botswana this morning officially marked the transformation shift to Absa Group Limited, officially adapting the Absa operational culture, with the brand rollout expected to be done by June 2020.

Speaking at an event to mark the shift, acting managing director, Mumba Kalifungwa said that the changeover would transform the bank into a modern, fast thinking and relevant bank.

“Barclays Bank of Botswana will be renamed at a later stage, subject to regulatory and other approvals in the country. We will continue to trade and operate under the Barclays brand in Barclays brand in Botswana even though our parent name has changed to Absa Group Limited,” he said.
