Barclays announces Johnson's replacement

Following the resignation of the managing director of Barclays Bank Botswana, Thuli Johnson, Barclays Bank has made a number of senior appointements in its southern Africa businesses.

Usman Ahmed, the incumbent managing director of Commercial Banking at Barclays Africa, has been appointed Acting MD of Barclays Botswana.

According to the bank, Usman brings with him 18 years of experience in commercial banking in various markets including the Middle East, United Kingdom, Asia Pacific and Africa.
