Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) last week hosted a four day International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (ICSH) in conjunction with European Scientific Institute and the University of the Azores, Portugal. The conference was officially opened by Dr Patrick Molutsi, HRDC Acting CEO.

Held for the first time in Botswana, the conference took place at the BAC main campus attracting participants from various industries in the country over the four days. The primary purpose is to assemble researchers in the area of social sciences and humanities, who by presentation of their scientific attainments contribute to the development of the interdisciplinary concept.

“We need to encourage multiple platforms like the ICSH as this is rewarding to our industries, students communities, and the nation at large and those in the labour force. We strive to provide a forum for constant international dialogue and consensus among key stakeholders on all matters relating to human resource development. We additionally wish to continue to promote knowledge management, knowledge exchange, research and benchmarking at enterprise and national levels to improve the effectiveness of human resource development, primarily amongst the young upcoming professionals and those still in school.” said Molutsi.
