Last Thursday, the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) announced its nominees for the upcoming sports awards. One of the major talking points was the nomination of Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, Tariq Babitseng for the best administrator award.

There were mixed reactions, particularly on social media, with some expressing shock at the nomination. Football is the country's most popular sport due to mass participation.
