Flatbread, depending on the size and thickness can be called by different names. Additionally different cultures prepare it in different methods, again resulting in a variation of names.

A flatbread is a bread made with flour, water, milk, yogurt or other liquids and salt and then thoroughly rolled into flattened dough.

Many flatbreads are unleavened, although some are leavened, such as pizza and pita bread.
