The manner in which the song was presented left every lover of Tswana music thoroughly entertained, and one of their fans was none other than former president Festus Mogae, as the group was booked to perform at prestigious events. But Tsankane says he does not feel under pressure to reproduce the magic, adding that he is confident Batswana, both in Botswana and South Africa, will once again embrace the style they appreciated so much when it was first introduced.
"I just take it easy, even though I am aware that after my performance in Tinto, much is expected from me; but that is not the only style I'm doing in this new album. I have adopted other concepts, new concepts that I feel will be appreciated as well," Tsankane told Showbiz yesterday. Tsankane started his musical career with the now defunct Mokorwana Cultural Troupe, and then joined its offshoot, Dithakga with other former members, before emerging at Matsieng, first as a dancer.
