Organisers keen on Miss Universe boot camp

The Miss Universe Botswana (MUB) pageant organisers are determined to go ahead with the boot camp that was scheduled for last month despite the limited time left until the July 23 grand finale.

Initially, the boot camp was planned for May, but had to be rescheduled to an unconfirmed date because of sponsors, the organisers said.  The camp is apparently meant to give the top 12 MUB finalists a feel of Botswana tourism.  The camp was initially supposed to be a week-long trip to allow the beauties to visit several tourist destinations in the North Western part of the country.

MUB assistant director, Kopano Seduke sad they are ready to go on with the boot camp any day, but they are still waiting for the go-ahead from sponsors.  She said at the moment they do not know when exactly they would get the green light, but they are determined to go on despite the delay.  "The camp was supposed to be a week-long affair, but if we get a late response from the sponsors we may have to shorten it," she said.  Seduke emphasised that the camp is meant to give the finalists an idea of the beauty Botswana possesses.
