Mango Groove still as hot as ever :: Mmegi Online

I was once a die-hard fan of Mango Groove. And when I heard that the group had regrouped to give us more of that multi-cultural musical sound that defined them in the '80s, I was delighted to reconnect with them.

The group has also released a DVD that captures its past glory as much as it defines their future in the cut-throat music business. Called Mango Groove Live in Concert, the DVD was shot as a full 10-camera high definition production in front of a capacity audience at the Big Top Arena at Carnival City in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, recently.

The result is a magical celebration of 25 years of Mango Groove hits. All the favourites are showcased in the DVD and include Special Star, Dance Some More, Moments Away, Hellfire, Another Country and Home Talk. In addition, Mango Groove's 2010 Bang the Drum album hits are also celebrated and include the title track of the album, Hey and Pretty.
