Speaking with Showbiz, the owner of the clothing brand Nna Ke Rata Mama, Tlamelo Ramodisa said that the concept of Nna Ke Rata Mama has been there since 2010. He said prior to introducing the kid's wear, there were already t-shirts for adults. Ramodisa said the response indicated that the brand would be better suited for kids as compared to adults, which is why they introduced the kid's range.
Ramodisa said: "The kids range is for kids aged between one and seven years and it is not just something I just wanted to push for Mother's Day; it goes beyond that." He added that though launched on Mother's Day, it does not mean the range was exclusive to Mother's Day. Furthermore Ramodisa said he hopes mothers will support the initiative as it is the first local children's clothing brand.
