LONDON: The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture through the Department of Arts and Culture, and the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) have taken advantage of the ongoing London 2012 Olympic Games to showcase Botswana's artistic creativity.

While the main focus in London for most countries is the performance of their athletes at the games, BITC and Department of Arts and Culture, saw it fit to join other African states and set up a stall at the Africa Village in South Kengsington Park to showcase some of the items that define the country. Through the Brand Botswana initiative, BITC and other government departments are using such global events to lure potential investors as the country continues to push for economic diversification.
