Botswana actor goes back to Generations

Lerato Motshwarakgole became a household name in Botswana when she starred in the popular South African soapie, Generations towards the end of last year.Although she only made a short appearance in the SABC 1 soapie, she impressed viewers and producers. Motshwarakgole will be back to the screens at the end of this month to continue with her role as Zimbini in the soapie. This time she will be there for about three months.The Johannesburg-based actress revealed that she is happy to be back on Generations. She said that during her first stint, she underestimated the support that she would get from Batswana. She was overwhelmed but grateful for the response from Batswana.
Despite appearing onscreen in South Africa, Motshwarakgole expressed her wish and desire to come back home. "I too want to come back home and enjoy working on developing my talent in my own country," she said.The actress wishes to see the arts industry in Botswana grow.She said that with the removal of SABC channels from the free-to-air bouquet, Batswana should exploit the opportunity to fill the gap.She said Batswana filmmakers have the advantage of supplying content to Botswana Television (Btv) with local content as Batswana are looking forward to this. She wishes to come back home because this is where her heart is.
