Mphoreng Malema laid to rest

MOLALATAU: A hero among the Babirwa people has fallen and it is undoubtedly an irreplaceable loss.

Hundreds of Babirwa who thronged the village of Molalatau to pay their
last respects to the late Mphoreng Malema, 75, as she was laid to rest last Saturday were devastated at the loss of a legend whose talent they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

Mphoreng Malema of Sello sa Malema se botlhoko fame succumbed to her illness recently.
Despite her old age, her song is among those of Botswana music legends which dominate the Radio Botswana (RB) airwaves during the Sunday programme, Dipina le Maboko.
