Mazabathi enjoys his part in the evil movie

He comes across as a finished acting product in his Tswana drama series, O bone O Ja Sereto.

He is known only as Raleru among his fans, the name that is fast being popularised by the drama series, which has been selling on the streets and in local shops since last year.

Raleru is the evil daddy and husband willing to do just anything for the love of money. His real name is John Mazabathi Mokhanda, a famous Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) politician. He first cut his teeth in acting about five years ago when he starred in the first-ever locally produced Botswana Television (Btv) drama series, Re Bina Mmogo, as Obed. He is continuing in the newly commissioned Part II of the same title. However, it is in a different drama series altogether, O bone o ja sereto, where the main popularly known as Mazabathi is making an impressions with his impeccable acting talent. The drama series, which started last year, has already been produced four times, with Part I, Part II, and just recently Part III and IV.For Raleru acting in front of the camera seems to come naturally. The facial expressions, the tone of his voice, the choice of words, and the way he goes about the business on the screen, is simply five-star.
