Kutlwano last won the league title in 2015, when they managed to grab a double, emerging triumphant in both men and women’s sections.

But their fortunes could change this season after a promising start to the first round, as the Mascom Volleyball League action resumes this weekend. Their intention is to recreate the 2015 feat. The men’s team finished the first round in position three, just three points behind the leading teams, Police XI and BDF XI. Kutlwano have 29 points while Police and BDF are tied on 31 points.

The women’s team has 20 points, trailing log leaders, Mafolofolo by six points who have 27. Kutlwano spokesperson, Tjiyapo Madeluka said both teams have had a good run thus far. “We have qualified for Zone VI to be held in December. The teams stand a good chance of winning the league,” he said.
