Despite the fighting spirit that was evident throughout the COSAFA Cup this year, Zebras lost out to Zimbabwe in the quarterfinals last night. The Zebras had been in fine form going into the match against Zimbabwe having demolished Mauritius 6-0 in the last match of their group to advance to the next stage.

Zimbabwe had taken the lead with less than 10 minutes before the halftime break through Evans Risuke. The Zebras also had some few chances in the first half with Onkabetse Makgantai and Kabelo Seakanyeng giving Zimbabwean defence a hard time with their runs.
