Police deny using excessive force over spilled vegetables

JWANENG: Police have denied injuring members of the public after using teargas and rubber bullets to disperse a crowd that was scavenging on a scene of accident, after two trucks collided last Thursday. One of trucks was transporting a cargo of vegetables, whilst the other was transporting concrete.

Assistant Superintendent Kitsiso Lemogang, refuted allegations that they registered one injury, stating that the only person who was injured was one of the truck drivers.

He stated that they received a report that two horse and trailer trucks have collided next to Jwaneng mine airport in the early mornings of Thursday.
