Recalled Botswana National Front (BNF) parliamentary hopeful for Tonota, Maokaneng Bontshetse, has given the party seven days to reverse its decision or face the wrath of his attorneys. The seven days expire on Friday, as the party was given the demands last Friday.

The BNF recalled Bontshetse two weeks ago after charging him with “addressing the media on very sensitive issues”. The recall left incumbent MP, Pono Moatlhodi, who crossed over from the ruling party in April, with a clear line to October 24.

An appeals letter seen by Mmegi demands that the party’s central committee reinstate Bontshetse’s candidature for Tonota failing which “I shall duly instruct my attorneys to institute action”.
