South Africa's hip-hop star HHP dies at 38

Jabulani Tsambo, better known by his stage name, Hip Hop Pantsula, HHP, or Jabba has died. He was 38.

Details surrounding his death are unconfirmed.

Well-known publicist and Lerato Sengadi, the wife of hip-hop star HHP, confirmed to South Africa’s TimesLive from the scene on Wednesday afternoon that the musician had died.

"Yes, yes, it's true. I am with the family at the moment," said a traumatised Sengadi.  


HHP has in the past opened up about suffering from depression.

He was the co-chair of a record label, Lekoko Entertainment

Tsambo is survived by his wife, Lerato Sengadi and a child.
