Kenyans on social media are blasting American broadcaster CNN after it reported Kenya as being a “hotbed” of terror ahead of US President Barack Obama’s visit.

“President Barack Obama is not just heading to his father's homeland, but to a hotbed of terror,” the CNN report read, raising concerns about al-Qaeda affiliated terror group al-Shabaab. 

The Kenyan are using the hashtag #SomeoneTellCNN to voice their anger on the “bias reporting” by CNN. The hastag #SomeoneTellCNN reached number one on worldwide trends on Twitter on Thursday midday.
