SELEBI-PHIKWE: Kenyan long-distance runner, Lazarus Too, has successfully defended his Orange Phikwe National Marathon title held here on Saturday.

He produced a commanding performance to outclass a strong field of athletes who descended on the former mining town for the 2026 edition of the annual race. Too, who is based in Mmankgodi, once again demonstrated his class as he crossed the finish line ahead of his rivals to retain the title he won last year.

His victory came after a tactical race in which he maintained a steady pace before pulling away from the chasing pack to secure back-to-back crowns.
