The Debswana First Division South League once again left supporters intrigued after the weekend's action when Holy Ghost became the fourth side this season to taste the top spot.

The 1-0 win for the log leaders against URI Black Forest saw them open a two-point gap at the summit with the league going into the eighth week this weekend. From the first week, the league has been recording interesting results with Matebele FC taking an early lead at the top before they were toppled by Tlokweng United for a couple of weeks.

Former Premier League side, Black Forest used its experience and gained momentum before they appeared to make the top position theirs. However, they got their unpleasant surprise at home against Holy Ghost, in the process relinquishing the position to the latter. This Sunday, the log leaders will be at home to Matebele in what is expected to be an interesting encounter. Matebele are currently sitting at position four with 12 points, four behind their weekend’s opponents.
