Prisons XI are this season's first division South league champions following their 1-0 win against Holy Ghost on Saturday afternoon.

The victory secured an automatic promotion to the elite league after spending just two seasons in the lower division. Many had predicted the championship race would go to the wire with Prisons XI and Dinare FC fighting neck-to-neck for the better part of the second round.

However on Saturday afternoon, the Warders registered a hard-fought win over Holy Ghost, hoping to wrap up the league title in the last game of the season.
