The much anticipated Botswana Softball Association (BSA) Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) that was set for Saturday flopped because the majority of the members including some of the executive committee were absent, leading to the collapse of the quorum.

The BSA public relations officer, Kelebogile Monyake told SportMonitor that the virtual OGM could not proceed because most of the members did not log in. She said as such, the only wise decision was to cancel the meeting. “The agenda of the meeting was to sanction policy amendment, its adoption and discuss the player transfer policy.

So now that could not happen due to the situation we found ourselves in. I do not know why the members decided not to turn up. Maybe BSA president, Katlholo Mosimanegape might have an idea. But I think regarding the members of the BSA executive committee, it seems like they advanced their excuses to the president ahead of the meeting,” Monyake said.
