When the Botswana Softball Association (BSA) leadership was given the mandate to drive softball forward, the picture was gloomy after the league sponsor, BoFINET pulled out. But softball has managed to steer back on track, although more still needs to be done for clubs in the north, Mmegi Sport Staffer CALISTUS KOLANTSHO reports

Softball's attention has now shifted to coming up with a plan on how to start the league.

During the current season, more than P2 million was spent on softball competitions, with P700,000 going to the return-to-play mini-league, while P300,000 was spent on the Phikwe Extravaganza and P250,000 on the Independence tournament.
