Rain clouds hovered over the National Stadium on Saturday, but they did little to dampen spirits as the fourth edition of the Betway Clash of Legends brought together some of Southern Africa's most celebrated former footballers for a day of nostalgia, entertainment and charity. For the first time since its inception, the tournament adopted a club format, featuring legends from Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Previous editions featured former national teams, with the first two tournaments held in Gaborone and the third edition staged in Francistown.

While supporters were treated to flashes of brilliance from players who once lit up stadia across the region, the event's deeper purpose remained supporting former footballers and those involved in the game through the Betway Clash of Legends Legacy Project.
