Former Zebras striker, Jerome ‘JJ’ Ramatlhakwana, who was selected as one of Botswana’s four 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) bid ambassadors, has reportedly declined the offer of $350 (approx. P4, 000) appearance fee, Mmegi Sport has learnt.

Ramatlhakwana was appointed together with former Zebras teammate, Diphetogo ‘Dipsy’ Selolwane and Mares captain, Bonang Otlhagile and former women’s national team player, Kefilwe Modisaotsile.

No immediate comment could be obtained from the bid ambassadors on the offer. Botswana and Namibia are jointly bidding to host the 2027 AFCON finals.
