The Zebras recorded a morale-boosting 2-1 win over visiting Eswatini in an international friendly match at the Lobatse Sports Complex on Monday afternoon.

Goals either side of the half from Tumisang Orebonye and substitute Lemogang Maswena were enough to give Mogomotsi 'Teenage' Mpote's charges a much needed win after indifferent results. Orebonye nodded home in the first half after a dominant display, but the visitors made changes and were the better side emerging from the dug-out. It was no surprise when Neliso Myeni levelled matters with a headed goal midway through the second half. But Mpote made attacking changes, including bringing on Maswena and Mogakolodi 'Tsotso' Ngele with the changes paying dividends. In the dying ambers of the encounter, Maswena poked home from close range to give the hosts the win. "Credit to the boys and the technical team; they worked hard.

The problem is that we don't play a lot of matches and you expect us to win. But credit to the boys, we have been conceding but today we tried. The goal came from the right and we will work on that," Mpote told the media after the match. "There were a lot of positives we will built from what we saw here," said Eswatini coach, Dominic Kunene.
