Gaborone Rugby Football club field had to put on its rain coat as the wet conditions threatened the Bokomo Hogs 7s tournament held on Saturday.

The tournament attracted 16 teams from eight clubs, however, that was not the case with spectators as many of them stayed away. The host, Gaborone Hogs men’s team did not allow the bad weather to affect their winning streak, as they lifted the cup after beating Jwaneng Wildebeest 28-5. Hogs walked into the tournament with revenge in mind after losing the 15s league title to BDF Cheetahs in August, on the other hand the side has been a 7s powerhouse.

On their way to the final, Hogs walloped Canon Jaguars 17-5, in the second match, Hogs walloped Cheetahs 14-0, and went on to punish Hogs 2 with a huge margin of 40-0.
