Da Rosa is expected to be announced as the new Zebras coach

Frenchman, Didier Gomes da Rosa has been linked with the vacant Zebras job after the Botswana Football Association (BFA) fired Mogomotsi 'Teenage' Mpote this week.

Da Rosa is in charge of Al-Taraji, a second division side in Saudi Arabia but is reportedly on the verge of leaving. Since 2010, the 54-year-old has coached 15 teams across two continents.

Sources told Mmegi Sport the BFA is expected to announce Gomes as the new Zebras coach although details of the contract remain sketchy. The Zebras open their 2026 World Cup qualifiers with back-to-back home assignments against Mozambique and Guinea next month.
