CRACKiT City Polar shot to the top of the First Division South league table following their 1-0 victory over Matebele on Saturday.

Ahead of the two sides’ encounter, Matebele were sitting at the summit of the log standings with 14 points, two more than City Polar who were on position two. The 1-0 win took City Polar to 15 points and they remain the only side in the league without a loss so far.

Out of seven games played, they won four and drew three, scoring eight goals in the process. For Matebele, it was their first defeat of the season and have been enjoying a good run with four wins and two draws.
