Kgatleng giants Mochudi Centre Chiefs have moved swiftly to enforce discipline within their ranks, announcing the indefinite suspension of five first team players with immediate effect for participating in social tournaments.

In a press statement released today, the club confirmed five players have been suspended from the team with immediate effect.

“Mochudi Centre Chiefs wishes to inform its supporters and stakeholders that the following players have been suspended with immediate effect until further notice,” read the statement.

The five players axed from the team are Benson Mangolo, Shanganani Ngada, Monty Enosa, Laone Petros and Brian Tafhi.

The Kgatleng giants indicated that the decision follows a breach of the clubs internal regulations, signaling a firm stance on discipline as the team navigates a crucial phase of the season.

“This is a decision taken following a breach of the club’s internal regulations. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of discipline and professionalism at all times,” read part of the statement.

The club further noted that it would keep the public abrest with any developments regarding the mentioned players.

“Further updates will be communicated in due course,” the club said.

The suspension comes after pictures of the affected players surfaced online of them partaking in social games over the Easter holidays.

Chiefs will be without the suspended players when they take on Black Lions at GU Stadium on Saturday. The team sits third on the log with 50 points accumulated.
