Kgatleng giants, Mochudi Centre Chiefs grossed P56,000 from the sale of tickets for their Debswana First Division South encounter against Notwane played at River Plate ground on Sunday.

Despite struggling to keep pace with other title contenders at the top of the league table, Magosi are the First Division South's cash cow due to their huge following.

Since the start of the year, they have already grossed P350,802 from six home games in the league. Out of the six home games played since January, the Kgatleng derby against Matebele FC sold the most tickets and grossed P89,802.45 followed by the encounter against Union Flamengo Santos with P62,810.90. Speaking to Mmegi Sport this week, club chairperson, Victor Kobe said they intend to introduce stands in the form of scaffolds to double or triple the numbers and ultimately, income. “In the game against Notwane, we were hit by injuries which affected our performance, but our style of play has a way of capacitating the ground,” Kobe said.
