Branch cruises to second stage win in Dakar

Since his fuel ordeal on stage four of this year's Dakar Rally, Branch has got his rhythm back. He bagged his first stage win of this year's edition on the eight stage held on Sunday. The biker is on a comeback trail after falling outside the top 10 bikers in the overall classification. He started stage 10 in 28th place and he posted the fastest time in each of the stage's checkpoints.
His exploits have done little to his overall standings. Branch moved two places from 34th to 32nd in the Dakar Rally 2023 standings. Four stages remain in the race for Kalahari Ferrari to try to earn a decent position. Branch's second stage win is his team, Hero MotoSports Team Rally's third at this year's edition.
