BFA withholds names of investigators

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) will not release the names of a three-man committee appointed this week to probe allegations of match-fixing due to the "sensitive nature of the matter".

Concerns of match-fixing emerged after an audio clip featuring the voices believed to be those of referee, Joshua Bondo and BFA official, Monnakgotla Mojaki was leaked recently.

The Ministry of Youth, Sport, Gender and Culture as well as the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) urged the BFA to get to the bottom of the matter. In response, the BFA appointed a three-man committee this week but did not release the names of the members. Amid concerns, the integrity of the committee could be compromised without the public scrutinising their profiles.
