The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has reported its former chief executive officer (CEO), Goabaone Taylor to the Sir Seretse Khama Airport police on accusations that she refused to return the association’s car.

The car was part of her employment benefits. BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti made the report on Monday this week. The decision to report Taylor has reportedly been condemned by some at the association, who said the president could have explored other avenues to retrieve the vehicle. They see the decision to report Taylor as a ploy to embarrass her.

Taylor was also reportedly outraged by the decision to report her to the police as she believes it borders on harassment. She is also said to have expressed shock with the decision as the association’s acting CEO Tshepo Mphukuthi had written a letter to her on Monday stating that she returns the car before the end of business day on Tuesday. “We refer to the above and the letter of termination delivered to you on the 18th of February 2022.
