Francistown is set to host one of the FNB Premiership’s most tantalising fixtures on Saturday as old foes Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Township Rollers lock horns at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.

The clash, slated for an 8pm kick-off under the lights, promises drama both on and off the pitch. Off the pitch, the glow favours the Blues, whose management is steadying the ship, whilst the black-and-white of Magosi are basking in a period of resurgence. For much of the 2010s, the two giants were inseparable at the top of Botswana football. Their decade-long dominance made their meetings must-watch events, with bragging rights and championship honours on the line.

But recent history has added a twist, Chiefs faced relegation whilst Rollers endured a barren spell. Now, their first high-table league encounter in years carries both nostalgia and a renewed hunger for supremacy.
