FNB Premiership giants, Gaborone United, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Jwaneng Galaxy, and Namibia's African Stars will test their strength during the fifth edition of the Jwaneng Mine GM's Soccer Fiesta on the coming weekend.

Additionally, women's sides Gaborone United, BDF XI, Jwaneng Galaxy, and Double Action will slug it out, and so will four social clubs: PV Monko, Bajanala, Barloworld, and Nkala.

The football festival kicks off on Friday and runs until Sunday. On Tuesday, during a press briefing, the tournament organising committee's vice chairperson, Njabulo Gilika, said preparations are going well and revealed that Barloworld Equipment is the main sponsor after injecting P400,000.

During the draw, Galaxy was pitted against Chiefs, whilst GU face African Stars. In the women's draw, GU play BDF XI whilst Double Action face Galaxy. Bajanala face Nkala whilst PV Monko will play Barloworld in the social teams' draw.

Barloworld Equipment country manager, Derrick Musa, urged clubs to utilise the tournament to field new or youthful players.

"We see the tournament as an opportunity for player development. Utilise young players; it might be an opportunity for their breakthrough," he said.

The entry fee is P30 on Friday and Saturday, whilst there is no charge on Sunday.
