Wrestling mat mystery for BWF

The Botswana Wrestling Federation (BWF) is still in the dark about a wrestling mat that was donated by Russia Wrestling Federation early this year. The mat was last traced to Durban harbour, but unfortunately nobody received it and it retraced its steps back to Russia.

BWF has been fighting tooth and nail to have the mat returned, but it seems like it is going to be a long process for that to happen. The association is currently using karate mats during their competitions.  BWF president, Moagi Sharp said yesterday that he has engaged United Wrestling President-Africa on the matter.

“I will do everything in my power to have that mat here at home. Burkina Faso are also fighting the same battle because they were also given the same mat by Russia,” he said.
